ANSWERS TO THE MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
All our cabins and cottages are designed for couples and are single bedroom units.
Perhaps a babysitter is in order, as we are an adults-only facility and do not accept anyone under the age of twelve. Besides, you wanted a getaway, right? šŸ˜‰
No, sorry...our maximum occupancy per unit is two guests.
There are lots of venues available for hosting weddings throughout Fredericksburg, unfortunately we are not one of them. May we suggest you contact the Fredericksburg Visitors Center for a list of local venues at 830-997-6523.
We love pets, but due to guest allergy concerns and the unique nature of our cabins, we do not accept any pets on the property, with the exception of ā€œregistered service animalsā€. Unfortunately emotional support pets are not service animals and we do not accept them. However, we may charge a $500 cleaning fee and evict you without refund if we discover you have brought a pet with you.
While we are unable to alter the time of our hot picnic basket breakfast delivery, with advance notice we can supply you with a continental breakfast delivered to your room the evening before.
Actually, all billing is done ten days prior to your arrival. So if you need to adjust what credit card the billing is to be completed on, we do need to know at least ten days ahead of your scheduled date of arrival. Otherwise, a $35 fee is required to change charges on a stay that was previously billed.
We are located two and a half miles from Main Street, so unless you are preparing for a marathon, we suggest a vehicle. But hey, a little exercise canā€™t hurt right....?
We provide firewood seasonally (November ā€“ February) to each guest lodging unit. It is enough firewood for a couple hours of burn time. Additional wood for extended duration can be purchased for an additional fee. March ā€“ October we provide firewood for the outdoor firepits only. Lighting a fire indoors while the HVAC system is operating will cause a back draft of smoke into the lodging unit, so unless you have a few hams with you that you would like to smokeā€¦this is a no-no.
No, sorry we need our beauty sleep too! However, we will supply you with a phone number where you can contact guest services at any time for emergencies.
Check-in is available between 3:00PM and 9:00PM. If you intend to be later than 9:00PM, we ask that you call us that afternoon to make arrangements to have your key available. Check-out is by 11:00AM.
We always try to accommodate our guests' needs but we are unable to guarantee early check-in or late check-out as we need the opportunity to clean the rooms in between guest stays. Feel free to check with us that day and we can update you if this service is available at the moment.
Cancellation Policy on Cabins and Cottages: The Cabins and Cottages have a 10-day cancellation policy If you cancel your reservation ten days (10 days) or less before check-in, your credit card will be charged the amount equal to your complete confirmed reservation.
Weather conditions are not a valid reason for cancellation. We do not offer refunds or rain checks for cancellations made 10 days or less before check-in.

Optional Cancellation Coverage: Purchasing cancellation coverage gives you the peace of mind, knowing that you may cancel your reservation for "ANY REASON", up to 9:00 P.M. the day before your scheduled date of arrival and receive a credit voucher good for a future lodging stay at the full value or your original reservation.
Any cancellation made after 9:00 P.M. the day before your scheduled date of arrival will receive a credit voucher good for 75% of the value of your original reservation. Vouchers are valid for up to one year from the date of issue.
Note that once a guest has been checked in to their room, cancellation coverage does not provide a credit voucher for rental nights not used due to early unplanned departure.
Cancellation coverage must be purchased at the time of reservation or at least twelve days prior to your scheduled date of arrival if added after the booking is completed. If you did not purchase cancellation coverage at the time of reservation and would like to do so, please call us directly at 830-990-5734.
Please note that refunds are not available under any circumstances for cancellations. Cancellation coverage for the Cottages and Cabins is $45 per night (plus lodging taxes)
Please note the following special terms and conditions surrounding reservations for the 2024 eclipse event, which replace our standard terms and conditions.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total lodging booking fees are due at the time of booking. Remaining balance due 35 days prior to check in date. The Cotton Gin Village Eclipse Event bookings are scheduled for Friday April 5th ā€“ Monday April 8th with a four night minimum.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the eclipse event cancellation coverage is not available for purchase through the Cotton Gin Village. However, guests can purchase travel insurance of their own accord through companies such as www.allianztravelinsurance.com or www.travelguard.com
The Cotton Gin Village will not provide credits or refunds for any cancellations that occur for bookings made during the eclipse event for any reason.
