THE DIFFERENCE

Between Our Cabins and Cottages

THE
CABINS

Our Cabins are all original 1800’s hand-hewn log structures that were relocated from Kentucky and Tennessee to the grounds of the Cotton Gin Village. When we reassembled the structures here in Fredericksburg, we made sure to keep the original rustic charm inherent of the time gone by that they represent. However, we also made sure to provide for the modern conveniences todays travelers desire such as log-framed plush queen size beds or rustic king size beds, both with hand-stitched quilts, deep jacuzzi tubs, exquisite bamboo sheets, luxurious towels, central heat and air conditioning as well as refrigerators, microwaves, Keurig coffee makers and HD televisions. Each cabin receives a handmade Amish basket each morning full of a fresh, hot breakfast delivered to the cabin door. Housekeeping is provided daily.

The cottages are new constructions built with either San Saba stone or plaster and timber in a style reminiscent of Texas Hill Country German Fachwerk. They each feature plenty of unique, antique, and rustic Texicana decorations as well as stained concrete flooring with cowhide throws. The cottages also feature hearty cedar four-poster king size beds with hand-stitched quilts and exquisite bamboo sheets. The private bathrooms feature romantic two-person multi-jet rainfall showers and luxurious towels. Of course, we also included central heat and air conditioning as well as refrigerators, wine chillers, microwaves, Keurig coffee makers and HD televisions. Each cottage receives a handmade Amish basket full of a fresh, hot breakfast delivered to the cottage door each morning. Housekeeping is provided daily.
